Ive never written a review before, but I believe that this is necessary. I used the official reddit app since it was released, but I ran into a few problems. Most of if not all of those problems were fixed through narwhal.

Narwhal is beautiful, chock full of functionality, gets frequent updates, and is an excellent Reddit client. Nothing else even comes close to the level of polish and care that has gone into Narwhals usability. 2.3 brings even more great features (a ton of them) but keeps the clean and simple UI Ive grown to love. The Narwhal team is also super responsive to the community, another gigantic improvement over ABs months of silence followed at first by practically, then officially, abandoning the app.
I love the way this app fits together. Ive tried other applications in the past that seemed unnecessarily complicated, requiring multi-finger gestures or a long sequence of events just to switch to night mode or send a message. Narwhal gets everything right. Its simple, but pleasing to look at. Night mode colors are very easy to look at. Switching between accounts is a breeze. The dev team is responsive and super quick on the sub. Updates always satisfy. This app is well worth downloading, and spending the money on the premium upgrade is a no-brainer! Im a Narwhal fan for life.
I normally but after the frustration of using the "bigger" reddit apps I feel like this one needs more recognition on the things they got right over all the others. First, at least for me, is that this app allows you to view gifvs without pulling up the video player and interrupting your music. As someone who loves listening to music while browsing, not having this feature in an app is a deal-breaker for me, and its surprising how many reddit apps dont have this ability. Second, the developing team has been great so far. They seem to genuinely care about the users and listen to our feedback when updating the app. Which brings us to the updates. The developers are very quick with fixing bugs and eliminating intrusive ads. The latest update which fixed formatting and ditched the shady ad providers made this a 5-star app and it should be considered one of the top apps for reddit.
It hasnt quite reached the feature set of the old Alien Blue, but blows it away in terms of design and regular updates and additions. Really excited to see what these guys will have next.
I love this app but its been crashing out of nowhere a lot ever since the most recent update.
This app isnt just nice because it has a familiar Reddit theme, but it also implements a lot of intuitive and modern iOS functions. Great UX. It just feels better
This is Reddit
Up until the recent update, this app was my favorite for browsing reddit. Since the update most links arent loading properly, if at all. Doesnt matter how many times I delete and reinstall, the vast majority of links dont load. The UI is amazing, but the app is useless if you cant load the articles, images, .gifs, or whatever content you use Reddit for. Please fix these issues. Ive even downloaded other apps to see if the problem is on my end. Nope. Just narwhal.
Love it love it love it! Best Reddit client for iOS. Happy to support this developer!
Ive really been looking for a Reddit app and Ive read the reviews for most of all the apps on the iOS store which recommended Narwhal. My iPad is just fine and well taken care of, as well as my wifi working wonderfully. However, it doesnt allow me to login, my account is fine and simple by the way, so I tried to just sign up and make a new account. REFUSES ME ACCESS?! This is ridiculous and I would like help as to know whats wrong with this app, I can assure you it isnt my tablet.
Best iPad Reddit app period. I used to use bacon reader but no more.
Thats all folks
Very good app, it already replaced AlienBlue on my phone. Its missing only two things in my opinion, a way to see the sidebar of a subreddit, and a dynamic list of subreddits which updates when you type.
Ipaaaad, thank you so much dudes :*
I tried a lot of reddits client, Alien Blue too, and this is my favorite. You can switch from daymode/nightmode and have beautiful colors that make the app very intuitive. I paid the pro version for said thanks to the developer, but the free version is the same, with a little ads (when I had the free version I never see an ad, I dont know why). I love that app!
Definitely the best reddit app on the app store. And theres Force Touch support!
Hands down best client ever,
Narwhal > Official Reddit app
Awesome app, very well-done, fluid, fast and functional.
